Edwardian 18ct Gold Double Snake Ring set with Diamonds & a Cabochon Sapphire

36X
160 Admirers
Written by Olly Gerrish

An unusual 18ct gold double snake ring that was made circa 1910. It has been rub over set with a teal coloured cabochon cut sapphire. Coiled around the sapphire are two snakes. Each snake has an old mine cut diamond in it’s head. Snake rings were popular in the GeorgianVictorian and Edwardian eras and signify the union of two people in eternal love. The sapphire further emphasises new love and commitment.

A perfect engagement ring.
