Find Out MoreA pretty pendant that has been set with three peridots with diamonds in between. The top and bottom peridots are an irregular hexagon cut with an octagonal cut peridot in between. Peridot is a gorgeous stone. It was named after the French word peritot, meaning gold, because the mineral can vary towards this colour. Peridot is also the birthstone for the month of August and is the stone given to celebrate the 16th year of marriage. Peridot has a very long written history. Ancient papyri record the mining of these stones as early as 1500 BC.
This pendant was made circa 1910-1920 and is a two colour mix of platinum and 15ct gold. The chain is all platinum.
A perfect present!
