Edwardian 15ct Gold & Platinum Albert Chain

996P
525 Admirers Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

A stunning heavy gauge gold and platinum Albert chain that was made circa 1900-1920. It has alternating sections of two-colour 15ct yellow gold and platinum close knit curb links. It is termed as an “Albert” chain after Prince Albert, Queen Victoria’s husband, who popularised the wearing of chains across the waistcoat with seals and a watch attached to the dog clip terminal. Nowadays they are worn as neck chains which look really good.
