Early Victorian 15ct Gold Cross set with Almandine Garnets & a Split Pearl

386X
Written by Olly Gerrish

This is a beautiful 15ct gold cross that was made circa 1840. It has been claw set with four rectangular angle cut almandine garnets. The garnets are a gorgeous purplish red colour that is typical of the almandine variety of garnet. There is a natural split pearl in the centre and rope work detail on the bale and around the edge of the cross.

A lovely Confirmation or wedding present.
