Early 20th Century 18ct White Gold, Zircon Stud Earrings

A neat pair of 18ct white gold earrings that were made circa 1920-1930 and have been claw set with zircons. Zircons were used a lot during the early 20th century and are one of the oldest stones. They have been used in jewellery for over 2000 years and occur in an array of colours from yellow, green, red, reddish brown and blue hues. The zircons in this earrings are an electric blue colour.
