Early 20th Century 18ct Gold Signet Ring with Carnelian Intaglio of an Eagle

A good looking 18ct gold signet ring that was made in London in 1931.  It has been set with a carnelian that has been carved with an intaglio of an eagle with the words  “Virtute Adepta” meaning  “Aquired by virtue” below.  An interesting and smart ring to wear.
