Early 20th Century 18ct Gold & Platinum, Diamond Bow Pendant with Pear Shaped Diamond and Pearl Drops

Written by Olly Gerrish

A stunning example of a diamond bow shaped pendant made circa 1915-1920 in platinum and 18ct gold to the reverse. Bows were often used to symbolise love. The workmanship that is displayed here is of the highest quality, the drop sections are fully articulated and tapered to look like pieces of ribbon giving the pendant great movement when worn. There is even careful millegrain work at the end of the drops to give the illusion of very tiny diamonds. The bright pear shaped diamond has excellent clarity and sparkles beautifully, complimented by a natural pearl on the opposite side.

A very precious pendant.
