Early 20th Century 18ct Gold, Emerald & Rose Diamond Cluster Ring with Diamond Set Shoulders

554W

Written by Olly Gerrish

A pretty 18ct gold ring that was most likely made in France circa 1910. It is typical of French rings made at that time, but may have lost it’s eagles’s head mark due to sizing the ring down in the past. It has been claw set with an oval cut mid colour green emerald. Around it are ten claw set rose diamonds and a further rose diamond set in to each of the shoulders. Rose diamonds have a certain special look about them which is quite unlike modern brilliant cut diamonds. It sits low on the finger and curves around it nicely. When worn it is a neat look and would make a lovely engagement ring.
