Early 20th Century 14ct Gold, Sapphire & Diamond Crossover Ring

257W
280 Admirers Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

A charming 14ct yellow gold crossover ring that was made circa 1910 and is most likely of Austrian origin. It has been claw set with an old cushion cut diamond that weighs approximately one carat, and with a beautiful royal blue sapphire that has an approximate weight of 1.34 carats. The trefoil claws are unusual and the sides of the shoulders have been engraved with a pretty line and scroll motif. On either side set in to the shoulders are small graduated rose cut diamonds.

This ring is in the naturalistic Art Nouveau style that was so popular at that time and still looks amazing today. It would make a wonderful engagement ring.

Ollys Pick

There is so much attention to detail in this charming and beautiful ring.
