Early 20th Century 14ct Gold Bangle set with Five Graduated Opals

46W
320 Admirers
Written by Olly Gerrish

A pretty 14ct gold bangle that was most likely made in Austria circa 1910. It is a lovely twisted design and has been claw set with five graduated cabochon cut opals. They are well matched stones with plenty of vivid flashes of red and blue fire. Opals are fascinating stones and vary hugely in colour. At the turn of the 20th century they were being imported from Australia and were very popular in jewellery at that time. The bangle has an added safety chain for extra security.
