Early 20th Century 18ct Gold & Platinum, Two Stone Diamond Drop Dormeuse Earrings

135F
Written by Olly Gerrish

A pretty and very useful pair of diamond earrings, made circa 1910, suitable for both day and evening wear. They are known as “dormeuse” earrings, French for  “sleeper”, meaning that you can sleep with them on. The larger claw set diamonds are 30 points each within pie crust settings. Above each diamond is a smaller diamond, also within a claw set pie crust setting. These earrings were either made in France or Belgium. They have secure hinge back fittings.
