A charming 18ct gold mourning ring that was assayed in London in 1832. The angled band has a letter on each section that spells out “In memory of”. In the centre is a carved banded onyx of a pansy that literally means “Think of me” after the French “Pense a Moi”. Inside the shank is engraved “Willm Rooke Esq Obt (died)22nd Feb 1833 Agt 82.”
