Art Nouveau 18ct Gold Ring set with an Opal by Deakin & Frances

Written by Olly Gerrish

Art Nouveau rings are always sought after so we were pleased to source this 18ct gold example. It was made by Deakin and Francis circa 1910. Deakin & Francis have been in existence for over 230 years. They are England’s oldest manufacturing jewellers and are based in Birmingham in the same factory where they began manufacturing jewellery in the Industrial Revolution. The ring has been rub over set with a lively cabochon cut opal that exhibits flashes of blue and green with red undertones. The flowing design is similar to designs by Archibald Knox for Liberty.

Ollys Pick

I have always loved the Art Nouveau period and this ring is a wonderful example made by an excellent firm.
