Art Deco Silver, Marcasite, Citrine & Amethyst Ring

Written by Olly Gerrish

A striking silver ring that was made in the early 1920s. It has been set with a rectangular cut Madeira citrine . It is surrounded by   graduated marcasite (iron pyrites). Marcasite was used a lot in antique jewellery as it is similar to rose diamonds and catches the light beautifully. Above and below the citrine is a small amethyst.  A decorative and fun ring to wear.
