Art Deco Platinum Three Stone Emerald & Diamond Ring

193N
338 Admirers Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

This is a stunning French platinum ring that was made in the early 1920s. It is typical of the Art Deco period with it’s geometric shape. It has been set with three rectangular cut emeralds across the band. Around them are sixteen bright white diamonds. It has fine millgrain detail around the settings. This is when the edges of the metal have been worked with a knurling tool to produce tiny beads, hence the French name “Millgrain” meaning a thousand beads. It sits low on the finger so it is a practical and beautiful ring to wear. It would make a marvellous engagement ring.
