Art Deco Platinum, Onyx & Diamond Oval Cluster Ring

272Y
40 Admirers Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

A striking platinum ring that was made circa 1920. It has been rub over and millgrain set with a transition cut diamond in the centre that has an approximate weight of just under half a carat. It is surrounded by an oval cut piece of onyx that is surrounded by small diamonds in an angled oval shaped design. The scroll shoulders have been set with further small diamonds. Onyx was often used in the Art Deco period as it provided a great contrast to the diamonds.

This ring is a great example from the early Art Deco Era.
