Art Deco Platinum, Fire Opal & Diamond Three Stone Ring

568W
240 Admirers Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

A stylish platinum ring that was made in the 1920s. It has been claw set with an emerald cut fire opal with a claw set old mine cut diamond on either side. Mexican fire opals are named for their uniform flaming orange or cherry red body colour. They are always very brightly coloured, and can be a little bit cloudy to almost perfectly transparent. This example is a stunning orange colour and transparent and has been cut and presented in the geometric style that typifies what the Art Deco period was all about, plain stylish and striking pieces.

A great ring that will be sure to attract attention!

Ollys Pick

We hardly ever come across fire opals so we were thrilled to find this Art Deco ring.
