Art Deco 18ct White Gold & Platinum, Madeira Citrine & Diamond Ring

Written by Olly Gerrish

A very stylish Art Deco ring that was made in the 1920s. It has been set with a rectangular cut Madeira citrine. Belonging to the quartz family, Madeira citrine is one of the most sought-after varieties of citrine. This gemstone is named after the fortified wine made in the Madeira Islands, just off the coast of Portugal. It is flanked on either side by leaf design shoulders set with rose diamonds. It would make an unusual engagement or dress ring.
