Art Deco 18ct Gold & Platinum Emerald & Diamond Rectangular Ring

200N
402 Admirers
Written by Olly Gerrish

A good looking 18ct gold ring with a platinum top that was made in the 1920s. It has been set with a narrow rectangular emerald that has ten small diamonds around it. The emerald has millgrain work around it. This is when the edges of the metal have been worked with a knurling tool to produce tiny beads, hence the French name “Millgrain” meaning a thousand beads. It is a stylish ring and sits low on the finger so it is easy to wear on a daily basis.
