Art Deco 18ct Gold, Moonstone, Diamond & Ruby Ring

861R
Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

An unusual 18ct gold ring that was made circa 1920-1930. It has been set with a moonstone. Around it are twenty four small diamonds. On either side is a pear shaped ruby. The moonstone has a silvery bluish light that seems to come from within, hence moonstone has many associations with the moon. It also has a long history of use as a talisman for fertility, love, protection, and travel. In the Art Deco period moonstones were very popular and were quite often teamed up with rubies and diamonds. The effect is so pretty and different
