Art Deco 14ct Gold Ring set with a Large Oval Green Tourmaline

Written by Olly Gerrish

A stunning 14ct gold ring that was made in the 1930s and is most likely of German origin.  The detailed gold work around the green tourmaline is an Arts and Crafts design.  It has been set with a large and impressive fancy cut green tourmaline.   The tourmaline is a fabulous deep green that catches the light revealing the depths of its rich colour.  Green tourmaline attracts luck, success, abundance and prosperity.  It inspires creativity, and may be used to project, create and manifest one’s goals.  It apparently also promotes courage, strength and stamina. Tourmaline is given to celebrate the eighth wedding anniversary and is the birthstone for the month of October so there are plenty of meanings attached to this beautiful stone, and it is a wonderful and striking ring to wear.
