It has been set with a large Druzy QuartzQuartz is a silicon oxide with the various colours being derived from metallic oxides. Varieties include amethyst, citrine and smoky.. Druzy Quartz refers to a layer of minute quartz crystals that have crystallised on the surface of a quartz based mineral. Druzy Quartz has a sugar-like appearance that you can clearly see in this example. They are often found in the hollow cavity of AgateA variety of cryptocrystalline quartz (chalcedony), typically banded in appearance. The use of agate in jewellery dates back to the Stone Age. geodes. At one end is a triangular cut peridotA variety of chrysolite. It is the gem of variety of olivine. The colour is generally a warm olive or yellowish green.
and at the other is a rectangular cut pink tourmalineTourmalines may occur in pink, red, yellow, blue, brown, black or green. The hardness is 7 to 7.5 on the Mohs scale.. Pierced through the centre is a pin with a large cultured pearlA man-made pearl. The pearls are produced by inserting an irritant into a mollusk.. It is a brave and unusual design and looks fantastic when worn.
