18ct Gold Three Stone Emerald & Diamond Ring

791N
940 Admirers
Written by Olly Gerrish

An 18ct gold ring that was made in London in 1978. It has been set with three emeralds with small diamonds in between. The emeralds are most likely from Zambia. African emeralds tend to be more blue-green, but just like emeralds of Colombian origin, variations in depth and intensity of colour are common. This ring has a carved half hoop shank that imitates the earlier Victorian and Edwardian rings. However it is well made and looks good when worn.
