486U

Written by Olly Gerrish

An impressive 18ct gold ring that was made in the 1960-1970 period. It has a basket gallery which is typical of that time. It has been set with a beautiful large green sapphire surrounded by fourteen round diamonds and two baguette cut diamonds. Green sapphire is a green coloured gemstone from the corundum family of gemstones and is considered to be highly precious and rare hence the importance attached to the setting in this ring. It would make a perfect dress or engagement ring
