Victorian 18ct Gold Snake Ring with Diamond & Ruby Eyes

141S
Written by Olly Gerrish

A good looking 18ct gold snake ring that was made in London in 1898. It has been set with an old mine cut diamond in his head with two small rubies for his eyes. Snake rings were very popular in the Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian periods as they represented “Eternal love and wisdom”. Some examples can look quite unfriendly but this snake is a happy snake!
