Victorian 18ct Gold, Five Stone Cat’s Eye Chrysoberyl Ring

560S
Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

cat’s eye is an expensive stone and is a stone of good fortune. It is said to bring serenity and happiness, along with optimism and generosity, creativity and kindness. It is also a stone of protection against the evil eye! This gold ring has been set with five lovely cut cat’s eye chrysoberyls. Each one has a clear white line down the middle which is a typical feature of the stones hence the name “Cat’s eye”. It is 18ct gold and was made circa 1880-1900.

Ollys Pick

The photos do not do this ring justice as it is hard to catch the lines and colour.
