Victorian 18ct Gold Black Enamel Mourning Ring set with a Diamond

647U
Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

An unusual 18ct good ring that was made circa 1850. In the centre is an old mine cut diamond diamond within an ivy leaf design. The ivy leaf stands for “Cling to me” and the diamond is for “Eternal love”.  There is pretty gold detailing around the oval design. It would have been a memorial ring hence the use of black enamel around the diamond and on the shoulders. A special ring to wear.

Ollys Pick

I love the attention to detail in this ring.
