Victorian 15ct Gold Drop Earrings set with Almandine Garnets in Original Case

194U
Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

A charming pair of 15ct gold drop earrings that were made circa 1860.  They are a botanical subject and are composed of buds and leaves.  The buds have been set with almandine garnets that have been foiled to the reverse giving luminescence to the stones. The gold is a real butter yellow colour and there is cannetille and engraved detail throughout.  They come in their original brushed velvet case with an ivory silk interior. They are in beautiful condition and look wonderful when worn.
