Victorian 15ct Gold Double Buckle Ring set with Natural Split Pearls & Rubies

An unusual gold ring that was made in Birmingham in 1896.  It was intended as a commitment ring hence the double buckle design meaning that “We are bound together”.  It has been set with split pearls to offer protection, as well as attract good luck and wealth. There is a in each for “Love”. A wonderful engagement or dress ring.
