Their sought after miniatures were mostly set in gold mounts such as this example. The subject of a wily fox is beautifully interpreted. It is in lovely condition and signed and dated on the reverse.
Ford along with Essex were the best enamel miniature artists in the VictorianJewellery made in the the Victorian era (1839-1901). period
