Scottish Silver, Jasper & Bloodstone Arrow & Target Brooch

917L
Written by Olly Gerrish

A charming silver arrow brooch that was made for the tourists who went to Scotland from the 1860s onwards after Queen Victoria purchased Balmoral Castle. It is set with various agates such as bloodstone and jasper. The hidden meaning of this brooch refers to the sport of archery but really means “an arrow through your heart” referring to Cupid and Love.
