Retro 18ct White Gold, Aquamarine & Diamond Rectangular Shaped Ring

546R
Written by Olly Gerrish

An impressive 18ct white gold ring that was made circa 1940-1950. It has been claw set with a large emerald cut aquamarine within a border of small diamonds. This beautiful pale bluestone is said by ancient lore to be the treasure of the mermaids. The name Aquamarine is derived from the Latin words “aqua”, meaning “water,” and “marina”, meaning “of the sea.” It is a very pretty ring and would be a perfect dress or engagement ring
