Norwegian Silver & Blue Enamel Necklace by Jan Baalerud

368K
Written by Olly Gerrish

A well designed silver and pale blue enamel necklace by Norwegian designer, Jan Baalerud (1914-1983). Baalerud, based in Oslo, was one of the lesser-known Norwegian silversmiths, but produced items similar in design and quality to modernist pieces by Oystein-Balle, Ivar Holt, Tostrup and others. This necklace is a good example of his work.
