Large Silver & Royal Blue Enamel Scottish Brooch

380D
Written by Olly Gerrish

A fabulous Scottish brooch which was made circa 1860-1880. It is so beautifully made with great attention to the detail on the thistle, the national emblem of Scotland. I have never had one as good as this. It could well have been a special commission as it is large and the Royal blue enamel suggests that it could have been used in a ceremonial for Queen Victoria.
