Large French Early 19th Century Emerald & Rose Cut Diamond Cluster Ring

923P
Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

A very good looking and impressive ring that was made circa 1800-1820 in France. It is a typical design from that time and has been pinch collet set in gold with a rectangular cut emerald within a border of different sized rose diamonds set in pinched collet and close back mounts in silver settings . The charm of these early rings is that they worked with the stones they had available so nothing is uniform. It has a 9ct gold ribbed shank with trifurcated shoulders. It would make a wonderful engagement or dress ring
