Georgian 18ct Gold Round Engine Turned Locket

316X
Written by Olly Gerrish

I love this style of locket as it is smart, original and very wearable. It was made circa 1820 and is typical of the late Georgian period in style with ball and rope applied work around the edge, then an engine turned pattern in the centre on both sides. It hinges open from the bottom to reveal two concave areas.

Wearable on an ever day basis.
