Georgian 15ct Gold & Silver, Rose Diamond Snake Ring with Ruby Eyes

721W
Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

An unusual and rare 18ct gold snake ring that was made circa 1820. It’s head has been set with graduated rose diamonds and it has tiny ruby eyes.  It’s tail forms the shank and curves up and over and under it’s head.

Snake rings were a very popular symbol of eternal love in the 19th century, and are as meaningful now as they were then.
