Georgian 15ct Gold & Silver, Cushion Cut Diamond Three Stone Ring

932R
Written by Olly Gerrish

A lovely ring that was made circa 1800-1820. It has been pinch collet set with three cushion cut diamonds in silver settings. The shank is 15ct gold and is typical of the period with tulip shoulders and a highly decorative pattern around it and on either side of the diamonds. The underside has been engraved with flowers and stylised scrolls. This leads me to conclude that it is most likely of Dutch origin because of the tulips and the engraved decoration beneath. A beautiful and unusual ring to wear.
