French Early 19th Century Three Colour 18ct Gold & Amethyst Drop Earrings

474T
Written by Olly Gerrish

A rare pair of French earrings that were made in the 1820s. They have been set with pair shaped amethysts with oval shaped amethysts above. The gold work is beautiful with leaves and ornate claws around the top stones. They have the original hinge back fittings that go through the back of the ear. You can detach the drops and just wear the tops during the day. Initially they are not the easiest of wires to get used to but after a while you will! We also have a necklace that matches these earrings.
