French Early 19th Century 18ct Gold & Platinum Cluster Ring set with Old Mine Cut Diamonds

740T
Written by Olly Gerrish

How many diamonds does it take to say ‘I love you’? Nine, on this occasion, snug within a daisy cluster. Perhaps to celebrate a ten year anniversary? Or simply as an impressive engagement ring? This early 19th century example, circa 1900-1910, of a classic style is set with good sized, bright and well matched old mine cut diamonds, which, due to their high crowns, throw out an abundance of fire and sparkle and the platinum tipped claws enhance the white of the stones. It is a beautiful ring that was made in France.
