Find Out MoreThis is a beautifully designed 18ct gold ring that was most likely made between 1922-1925 when a team headed by British Egyptologist Howard Carter began excavating the tomb of Tutankhamun in the Valley of the Kings, Egypt. The discoveries kicked off a fashion for Egyptian influenced designs in textiles, furniture, buildings and jewellery. The design incorporates Egyptian lotus motifs on either side of the scarab. The scarab swivels and has been set with a turquoise carved cabochon that hints at the scarab that adorned so many ancient Egyptian objects. This ring was most likely made in Belgium and imported in to France.
