Edwardian Silver & Green Paste Drops Necklace

216R
Written by Olly Gerrish

Green is such a pretty colour to wear and this necklace that was made circa 1910-1920 is no exception. It is silver and has cascades of apple green paste drops. The paste imitates the expensive green garnets (demantoid garnets) which had recently been discovered in Russia and were very popular in the Edwardian period.

It sits beautifully when worn
