Edwardian Platinum Aquamarine & Diamond Pendant by J E Caudwell on Platinum Chain

240F
Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

James Emmot Caldwell (b.1813 d.1881) was an American jeweler who founded J.E. Caldwell & Co in 1839. It fast became a major fine jewelry institution of Philadelphia. This pendant is a wonderful example of the firm’s work. It is very finely made with leaves and flowers and an articulated drop set with a pear shaped aquamarine. It was made in the early 20th century, circa 1900-1910.

Ollys Pick

The diamonds are really bright white stones, the photographs do not do this pendant justice
