Edwardian 9ct Gold, Split Pearl & Peridot Tiny Pendant of a Swallow

888H
Written by Olly Gerrish

A sweet little 9ct gold and seed pearl pendant featuring a swallow with a green peridot hanging from it’s beak. In Chinese mythology the swallow represented happiness and the arrival of spring, and was often depicted as part of the flowering peach branch. The swallow was considered daring, risk-seeking, and a symbol of change for good in the future. In England it meant everlasting love and loyalty as swallows mate for life.
