Written by Olly Gerrish

A 9ct gold novelty brooch, as they were known, featuring a frog that was made circa 1910. His body has been set with natural graduated split pearls with a central line of graduated green garnets or the correct name demantoid garnets. his eyes are tiny cabochon rubies and there is a diamond set above his mouth. Frogs have many symbolic meanings including fertility, transformation, purity, prosperity, and good luck. A lovely brooch to keep you in order!
