Edwardian 9ct Back & Front Oval Locket with Swallow & Rose Branch Motif

520S
Written by Olly Gerrish

A large 9ct back and front oval locket that was made in the early 1900s. On both sides it has been engraved with a pair of swallows. The swallow was considered daring, risk-seeking, and a symbol of change for good in the future. It also meant “Everlasting love” and “loyalty” as swallows mate for life. Each one is near to a branch of roses, and roses mean Love! A wonderful locket to give to someone that you love too!
