Edwardian 18ct White Gold & Platinum, Peridot Ring with Diamond Set Shoulders

89W
Written by Olly Gerrish

If you love peridots then this ring could be for you. The shank is 18ct white gold and the top is platinum and it was made circa 1910-1920. It has been double claw set with a beautiful apple green peridot that has an estimated weight of just over two carats.  On either side are four small diamonds that sweep up to join the peridot.

Peridot is named after the French word “peritot”, meaning gold, because the mineral can vary towards this colour. Peridot is the birthstone for the month of August. It is also the stone given to celebrate the 16th year of marriage. It would make an amazing dress or engagement ring.
