Edwardian 18ct Gold, Three Stone Opal Ring with Rose Diamond Points

214/O
Written by Olly Gerrish

A good looking gold ring that has been set with three oval opals. The opals are well matched and display flashes of red, green and blue. In between the opals are small rose diamonds called “ ” as they gave the ring a good line. The is very pretty with and scroll work. It was made circa 1900-1910 when opals were very much in fashion as they matched the soft ivory and pale colours of the clothes that were worn then. This ring is as wearable now as it was over one hundred years ago.
