Edwardian 18ct gold, Three Stone Old Mine Cut Diamond Crossover Ring

418W
Written by Olly Gerrish

A pretty 18ct gold crossover ring that was made circa 1900-1910. It has been claw set with three well matched old mine cut diamonds. Old mine cut diamonds catch the light in a different way to modern brilliant cut diamonds as they were hand cut and are much deeper stones.  The crossover design was very popular at that time as it was in the  Art Nouveau botanical style which was a lovely light look. This ring is as wearable today as an engagement or dress ring as it was over one hundred years ago.
