Edwardian 18ct Gold Three Stone Diamond Ring

256S
Written by Olly Gerrish

Three diamonds. Three times the amount of sparkle. This early 19th century example of the classic three stone diamond engagement ring features a central Old European cut measuring approximately 0.68 cts, flanked by two slightly smaller stones, each set in a fairly low coronet mount, keeping them snug to the finger. The shank is unusual as it is a waisted design. The three stones are often described as denoting the couple’s past, present and future. So, if this little ring is anything to go by, it has, it is and always will be bright.
